Robbers attack man in Ripley, steal his car and set it alight

Robbers viciously attacked a man, stole his car then set it alight.

The victim was walking near to Boots chemist in Church Farm Road, Ripley, when he was approached by up to seven men.

They assaulted him and stole his phone and car keys.

The offenders took his car which was later found on fire in Marehay.

The man suffered injuries to his face and head and required hospital treatment.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 1am on Saturday, July 18, should call Derbyshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
