Ripley: Fire unveils suspected cannabis plants
A suspected cannabis grower was caught out when a fire started at a Ripley house at the weekend.
Police were called to the property in Hawthorn Avenue, Ripley, at 9.55pm on Saturday (March 14) when firefighters attending a blaze in the roof space found a number of suspected cannabis plants.
The fire spread to the roof of the neighbouring property.
No arrests were made, however police are due to speak to a male occupant of the property about it today.
