Rescue of man '˜stuck up to waist in mud' near Chesterfield

Crews from Chesterfield, Clay Cross and Highfields were alerted around 8pm last night (Wednesday, April 4) and travelled to Hepthorne Lane, North Wingfield where they found the man stuck.

They used an air track sled, throw lines and hose inflation equipment to rescue pull him from the mud.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire said: “The casualty was then handed over to East Midlands Ambulance Service who was transported him via land ambulance to hospital.”
