One year after taking up her post at the district council, Chief Executive Dorcas Bunton will be attending a series of community forums next month to answer questions from the public.

Mrs Bunton said: “I would encourage as many people as possible to come along to the July forums and have their say.

“We understand that residents will sometiems take a cynical view of local government and our aim in these discussions is to be honest and open – and that is admitting that further changes will have to be made in the way we work.”

The forums take place at Bakewell Agricultural Centre on Monday, July 8, Ashbourne Library on Wednesday, July 10 and Matlock Town Hall on Monday, July 22. All forums start at 7pm.
