Fit Femmes on Rose Hill closed after Easter.

A statement posted on the gym’s Facebook page reads: "It is with deep regret and much sadness, due to family circumstances and commitments, we are no longer able to keep Fit Femmes open.

"We would like to thank all our members and staff for their continued support over the last 10 years.

"We have made our best efforts to continue as long as we possibly could and apologise for the delay in making a formal announcement.

"However, we have had to act on advice and have no alternative but to commence the procedure of placing the company into liquidation.

"Negotiations have been ongoing with a potential buyer with a view to re-opening the gym as soon as possible.

"We have been working hard to ensure minimal disruption but sadly after last week’s events this has delayed what we hoped would have been a smooth transition.

Some customers said they felt 'stranded' by the gym's sudden closure and voiced concern as people had paid for a full year's membership.
