Police appeal over stolen Wessington bikes

Police have released photographs of two bicycles that were stolen from a shed in Wessington.

The bicycles were stored in a shed at a house in Matlock Road, Wessington, near Alfreton, before burglars forced their way in.

They took a blue and white Trek racing bike and a cream coloured cycle that was hand built and is of extreme sentimental value. The cream bicycle has a ‘WSD’ marking on the frame.

Several cycling accessories were also stolen in the burglary, which happened between 5pm on Sunday, March 13 and 9am on Wednesday, March 16.

Police want to hear from anyone with information on the location of the bikes, or anyone who may have been offered them for sale since the break-in.
