WITH PICTURES: Burglars stole jewellery including diamond engagement and wedding rings

Derbyshire Police have issued a series of photos of jewellery stolen from a house near Ashover.

A house in a lane close to the village was broken into between about 9.15am and 2.30pm on Tuesday, October 18.

The offenders forced open rear patio doors and searched the property, taking a large haul of jewellery.

Items stolen included a pair of sapphire and diamond earrings, a white gold ring with sapphire centre stone, a diamond wedding ring and engagement ring with three diamonds set together.

Photos of a large number of stolen jewellery have now been issued by detectives, who want to hear from anyone who might have been offered any for sale.
