Person taken to hospital after Derbyshire house fire

THREE fire crews were called to tackle a blaze at a home in Derbyshire.

Firefighters from the Long Eaton, Stapleford and Highfield stations attended a house Hoselettfield Road in Long Eaton at about 7.50pm last night (January 19).

A service spokesman said this was a kitchen fire in a two-storey house,

A hose reel jet and breathing equipment were used to tackle the blaze.

Ventilation equipment was also used, as the property became heavily smoke-filled following the fire.

One person was taken in an ambulance to Royal Derby Hospital with smoke inhalation.

The stop message was received at 8.55pm.
