Young Derbyshire man 'did not intend' to overdose on pain killer

A 38-year-old Derbyshire man overdosed on a strong pain killer, an inquest was told.

Shane Robert Hall died at his home on Ledo Avenue, Ripley, on September 26 last year after taking a higher quantity of the drug than he intended.

Recording a verdict of misadventure, assistant coroner Emma Serrano told Chesterfield coroners’ court Mr Hall ‘did not intend the consequence of his actions’.

She passed on her deepest condolences to Mr Hall’s family at the hearing on Thursday, July 16.
