Young Derbyshire artist draws tribute to key workers to raise money for NHS

The artwork by Nicole Lander shows those who are working to tackle the coronavirus crisis gathered around Chesterfield’s Crooked Spire church.

Nicole, 18, a Tupton Hall School student who will study product design at De Montfort University in September, said: “I couldn’t think of a better thing to do with all of my free time.

“I’m personalising each piece that has been requested by the public to reflect the key workers.

“I’ve had a lot of interest in these art pieces after posting them on Facebook groups and orders are increasing by the hour.”

Nicole’s mum Tracey said: “I’m so proud of her – she’s got a really big heart.

“She’s very talented and her work is a really lovely tribute to our key workers.”
