Strata is building the homes off Dunston Road and has gained permission from Chesterfield Borough Council to make amendments to its planning appliation.

It will now build 15 of the new homes with a timber framed and clad finish – which will reduce the carbon footprint of the devlopment and mean it arrives much sooner than expected.

Planning documents submitted by Strata say: “The proposed switch from masonry to timber cladding is part of the carbon reduction initiative and the speed of construction tis brings.

“The accelerated construction possible could reduce the overall build programme on the site by 12 months.”

Strata has planning permission to build 146 homes at the development which is marketed as ‘360’ and features four and five-bedroomed properties.
