Liam Jackson, 16, will represent the town at Can You Dance? Dance Star 2020 events across the country this year.

Chesterfield College student Liam, who has been a pupil of the town’s Directions Theatre Arts for many years, said: “I am super excited for the opportunity to work alongside great choreographers and dancers.”

Liam’s family added: “We are all exceptionally proud of Liam and all that he achieves.

“We are always blown away by his sheer talent.

“This is an amazing opportunity for Liam to continue to shine.”

Liam was selected by a panel of leading dance industry experts including professional dancer and choreographer Tom Shilcock, who has performed for a variety of big names like Rita Ora, Take That and Jason Derulo.
