Richard William Akitt, 56, was found dead at his home on Gosforth Lane, Dronfield, on January 13, 2019.

An inquest at Chesterfield Town Hall, held behind closed doors because of the coronavirus pandemic, was told he had ‘intentionally’ taken precribed medication ‘in amounts not compatible with life’.

Derbyshire assistant coroner Emma Serrano recorded a verdict of suicide.
