The idyllic cottage, built in 1802 by the family of Florence Nightingale, is situated along the banks of the Cromford Canal in Derbyshire, and is being restored by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.

Now embarking on a new chapter in its 200-year history, the cottage will soon reopen as a visitor centre and gateway to Lea Wood Nature Reserve.
