On Monday September 2 Belvedere House marked the anniversary of Victory over Japan Day.
Residents gathered alongside the Mayor Jenny Flood, a group from the Royal British Legion and Harry Holloway. Harry is the husband of one of the residents, Valerie.
Harry gave an insight into his time served in Malaysia.
Residents sang along to music from the era and enjoyed a variety of cakes and drinks.
