On Wednesday, the hospital confirmed it had recorded a total of 502 deaths related to Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.
The total number of deaths registered across Derbyshire county and Derby city where the virus was mentioned on the death certificate currently stands at 3,286.

5. Robert Wilmot
Robert Wilmot lost a short battle with coronavirus and died at Chesterfield Royal Hospital at the age of 68 on April 13, 2020. Family said: "He had a good sense of humour and an unmistakable laugh." Devoted Spireite Robert became famous for wearing a kilt to Chesterfield FC's biggest games.

6. Barbara Hallam
Covid-19 took the life of Barbara Hallam at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on October 30, 2020. Family described the 74-year-old as 'outgoing and bubbly' and 'much younger at heart and in her mind'. Barbara was well-known in her community of Barlborough as a former pub landlady and pharmacist.

7. Sandra Scott
Sandra Scott, who worked for Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, was 49 when she died after battling the virus in early 2021. A spokesperson for the trust said: "Sandra was a valued and much-loved member of our hotel services team, known for her bubbly nature and can-do attitude."

8. Jenny Stone
Jenny Stone, who worked at Chesterfield Royal Hospital's facilities department, died with coronavirus aged 60 on February 6, 2021. Angie Smithson, the Royal's chief executive, said: "Everyone I have spoken to remembers Jenny as kind and caring. She truly was a warm genuine person with a bubbly and positive personality. She would always have time for a chat, to check if you were OK and she was always smiling. She always worked incredibly hard and made a real difference."
