Popular Derbyshire bus driver releases first book - looking back at buses in the 1990s

After almost three decades of driving local buses, Andrew 'Baggy' Bagshaw is a familiar face to many.

The lifelong transport enthusiast, who was born in Matlock and now lives in Mastin Moor, has released his first book – Derbyshire buses in the 1990s.

The 96-page book features 180 full-colour images of buses taken over the 10-year period leading up to the new millennium.

Andrew, who is a member of Transpire The Chesterfield Bus Society, was shortlisted as a Finalist in the Driver of the Year category – chosen out of 87,000 bus drivers nationally, outside of London – at the UK Bus Awards 2025 and has also been hailed for his work raising funds for local charities.
