Organisers of the Ashover Classic Car and Bike Show have taken the difficult decision to scrap the event, which was due to take place on Sunday, July 19 at Rectory Fields.

A spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus situation, this year's show has reluctantly been cancelled.

Stallholders, campers and caravaners will have been contacted regarding refunds. For anyone who has bought a ticket for their car or bike, it will be honoured for next year's show on Sunday, July 18, 2021.”

The show attracts hundreds of vintage vehicles each year and is organised by various rotary clubs across the north Derbyshire area.

A large number of other annual Derbyshire events such as the Y Not Festival have already been cancelled for 2020.
