Police receive a 'number of complaints' about inconsiderate parking near north Derbyshire school

Police officers in a north Derbyshire town say they have responded to a ‘number of complaints’ about parking near a school.

Officers urged people to ‘think about others’ after reports of inconsiderate parking on Belklane Drive, Killamarsh, which is close to Killamarsh Infant and Nursery School.

They urged residents to consider walking their children to school and to take responsibility for their parking if they do drive.

Killamarsh and Eckington Police SNT said in a statement: “Addressing a number of complaints regarding parking especially around school drop off times.

"Please think about others, parking restrictions apply for a reason. Consider walking to school.

“Leave home a few minutes earlier park and walk.

“Take responsibility for your parking,” the team added in a post on Facebook.
