Photos show incredible creations on show at Chesterfield Railway Modellers' exhibition

Model-makers showed off the incredible miniature worlds they have created at an exhibition in Chesterfield.

The Chesterfield Railway Modellers' exhibition was held at St Leonard’s Mission Church, Spital, on October 21 and 22, 2023 – despite the widespread disruption caused by flooding from Storm Babet.

Among the layouts on display was Hogwarts Railway (from the Harry Potter stories), Timber Tracks (a model of a narrow gauge American logging railroad) as well as three other layouts, created by members of the Chesterfield Railway Modellers group.

Chesterfield Railway Modellers are based in the Staveley Workshops complex on Works Road, Hollingwood. They have two large permanent layouts there, Hasland Loco Shed and Stonedale, the latter based on a quarry in the Peak District.

Local photographer Nick Rhodes was on hand to take these great images from the exhibition.
