The three centres will be open from 8am at Dronfield and Eckington and from 9am at Sharley Park Leisure Centre on Saturday, July 25.

To prepare leisure centres for the re-opening, North East Derbyshire District Council has made available useful information on its website highlighting what they can expect on their return and a frequently asked questions section for enquiries.

There will be gym and swimming slots available over the opening weekend, which will need to be booked.

To book, visit the North East Derbyshire District Council website for further information at www.ne-derbyshire.gov.uk/leisure/leisure-centres-re-opening-information.

North East Derbyshire District Council cabinet member for leisure, councillor Jeremy Kenyon, said: “It is great to be able to announce that our leisure facilities can now re-open for our communities to enjoy.

“Our leisure centres are at the heart of our communities and we look forward to welcoming you back safely to enjoy our facilities once more.”

A reduced fitness class timetable will operate at each site from Monday, July 27.

This too can be found on the council website and places will need to be pre-booked.

Bookings can be made online via the Leisure Hub at www.ne-derbyshire.gov.uk/leisurehub.
