NHS England reveal latest statistics for coronavirus deaths across hospital trust regions

The NHS has released figures showing death of patients at Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire hospitals who tested positive for Covid 19, announced on October 10.

Since the pandemic began back in March, three Derbyshire hospital trusts saw a total of 153 deaths, whilst three trusts in Nottinghamshire saw a 416 deaths, until October 10.

No deaths new deaths were recorded in Derbyshire, between October 5-9, 2020:

Deaths at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since the pandemic started in March have totalled 133, at the Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, it was 18, and the Derbyshire Health Care Foundation Trust has seen 2.

In Nottinghamshire, there was one death between October 5 -9, 2020.

The Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust had no new deaths, but since March, there were 125 deaths, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust saw no new deaths, but since March, totalled 14, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust saw one new death, on October 6, since March, its total was 279.

Nottingham recently recorded the highest Covid-19 infection rate in England.

According to NHS England figures, the number of deaths of patients recorded by region for the period, is Midlands, 6, North East & Yorkshire, 15, North West, 26, London, 6, South East, 1, South West, 1 and East of England, 5, a total of 60. The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England for the period, to 30,439.

Patients were aged between 41 and 93 years old and all but five (aged 72-86) had underlying health conditions.
