A batch of 100 3D-printed masks were delivered to Meadowview nursing home in Chesterfield by David Rowell, construction manager at Willmott Dixon.

Over the last few months EMH Care and Support, the company that owns the care home, has been collaborating with the construction team at Willmott Dixon on a £12.5m development of 65 supported living apartments in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.

David Rowell, construction manager at Willmott Dixon, said: “Some of our digital construction team have been 3D printing face masks due to the shortage of PPE during the pandemic.

“Working with Jo and her team on Springfields, I thought I would ask whether they needed any for their frontline carers.

“After many hours of printing we delivered the first 100 face masks and our teams are well on track with printing another 400.”
