Three new electric car charging sites are now ready for use as part of a Derbyshire County Council push to increase the number of charge points.

The new sites, located at Edgefolk Road car park in Matlock, New Street car park in Bakewell and Shawcroft Car Park in Ashbourne are the first of three in the Derbyshire Dales District Council and High Peak Borough Council areas.

Funded by the government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and BP Chargemaster, up to eight cars can charge up at each site at any one time.
