Lee Rowley, MP for North East Derbyshire, has been out and about visiting businesses in the area in recent weeks to see all the work underway to re-open and to make sure their customers are safe in the wake of coronavirus.

For the last couple of months, businesses across a wide range of sectors have been busy re-opening and dealing with a new normal that often involved changes to physical premises, the ways in which they serve customers and, in some cases, to the services and products that they offer.

As we all get going again, Lee is encouraging people in north east Derbyshire to get out and about to support local businesses.

Lee’s visits in recent weeks have included high-tech businesses, heavy manufacturing, online entrepreneurs, beauty businesses, hair salons, cafes and pharmacies across Dronfield, Tupton, Clay Cross and Eckington.

He said: “It has been an incredibly difficult few months for everyone but, over the last few weeks, I’ve seen how the area is getting going again and adapting brilliantly to the new normal we are all faced with.

“I’ve been hugely impressed with the determination of local business owners to get going again, to take back on employees and to serve customers in a safe and secure way.

“Our towns and villages are once again open for business and are taking all the right precautions to keep customers safe – so do get out to support local businesses.”
