Marks and Spencer outlines reopening plans for stores across Derbyshire
Marks and Spencer has outlined plans to reopen its stores in Derbyshire on Monday as it prepares for the next phase of easing lockdown restrictions to come into effect.
The retailer said that it would be adapting its store experience to offer services and products that customers want following a year of significant change.
This will include a range of ‘exciting’ new products and services to make shopping in stores across Derbyshire “easier, convenient and more rewarding” – from digital payment options to rewards and treats through the Sparks loyalty programme.
In addition, the retailer said there will remain a key focus on customer service which has become a “defining feature of the M&S experience” meaning there will be a colleague greeter at the door, as well as new digitally powered services to help customers, and contact-free bra fittings.
Pete Swallow, M&S Staffordshire and Derbyshire Regional Manager, said: “We’re excited to welcome more customers back into our stores from April 12 and look forward to continuing to serve our local community.
"Whether you’re looking for our latest Dine-In family feast or those must-have wardrobe staples to see you into summer, we have everything to help you Shop Your Way.
“With exciting new services like our contact-free bra fitting and the Scan & Shop service on our Sparks mobile app, we’re supporting customers however they choose to shop. Whether that’s browsing in store or using our click & collect service, our local team is ready to help.”
M&S stores across Derbyshire will mark the return of retail by offering one Sparks customer their whole basket or trolley of shopping for free every single day for two weeks from April 12.
Customers will also be able to shop in store with their phones with the Scan & Shop with Sparks service offering a quick way to pay without using the till.
Bra fit will also be back at M&S Derby Westfield, allowing customers to choose between a contact-free bra fit from M&S’s expert colleague or the new option of accessing M&S’s expert service from home via a virtual appointment.
All customer toilets will also be back open, with strict cleaning protocols in place to ensure the highest levels of hygiene.
And, free next day collection will be available on orders placed by 8pm.
