“In 2016 I completed an aerial hammock teacher training and backed this up by becoming a 300-hour yoga instructor.

“By 2017 I was teaching aerial yoga and taking my own mat yoga experience to a higher level.

“The benefits for me have been immense – reduced stress, a clearer mind, reduced back and body tension but most importantly the opportunity to look forward to time away from everyday life, which in return gives me the mental space to carry on, especially during difficult days.

“My aim is to raise awareness of the positives that aerial yoga can bring about, and I chose to do this with Pole Athletes studio based on my experience of finding a connection with a group of fantastic people.

“To begin my journey of sharing I’ve chosen to offer an hour’s practice to carers, both paid and unpaid across Derbyshire.”

The first monthly class will take place at Pole Athletes Studio at 3pm on March 29 then every last Sunday of each month thereafter.
