Food poverty in Derbyshire coalfield communities sparks partnership's rescue measures

In a bid to tackle alarming levels of food poverty, the Coalfields Community Trust has partnered with Company Shop Group.

The trust will provide £50,000 worth of funding to eligible initiatives that address food insecurity. For funding involving feeding families, Company Shop Group will match fund, creating a fund value of up to £100,000.

The funds will be distributed as vouchers which can be redeemed for food and drink (excluding alcohol) in Company Shop stores.
