We’ve picked out some of the egg-citing attractions that we think that children and/or their grown-ups will love.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Easter Bunny who will be hopping around the county to welcome visitors.
1. Adventure quest
Hunt for clues in the grounds of Bolsover Castle, track down the Easter eggs and be rewarded with a chocolate treat. The Easter Adventure Quest is running every day of the school holidays, from March 23 to April 14, and costs just £2 on top of the admission ticket price. 2. Little lamb
Enjoy a family day out at Chatsworth from March 28 to April 14 when there will be animal handling and feeding, crafts and tractor and trailer rides. Easter egg hunts will run from March 28 to April 1 - maybe you'll find a golden egg and win a special prize! 3. Cool cats
If your kids love Lampo and Milady from television's 44 Cats, then a visit to Gulliver's Kingdom at Matlock Bath is a purr-fect Easter outing. 4. Canal cruise
Join the Easter Bunny on a cruise down Chesterfield Canal. Every child will receive an Easter egg and each adult will receive a drink and a hot cross bun. The tripboats Madeline and John Varley will be running hourly cruises from Hollingwood Hub on March 30 and April 1 from 10.30am and John Varley will be running cruises from the Hub on March 31 at 10am.
