“Helen’s Trust are a small charity but go the extra mile to help and are extremely supportive.

“They have provided my dad with occasional night care which we appreciate greatly and now hope to give them something back in return.

“Getting to 108 is a challenge and achievement in itself and a few weeks ago we didn’t think this would happen for dad – so to get to this stage is amazing.

“Please, please help my dad and I raise money for this very worthy cause.

“You or your family may need them one day.

“It will probably be the last time he can raise money so please help with even small amounts.

“Thank you.”

Jack – who is one of the UK’s oldest men – has raised thousands of pounds for charity with his various challenges over the years.

He became the oldest person to get a tattoo at 104, the oldest to ride a rollercoaster at 105, the oldest to take on a zip wire at 106 and the oldest to be a supporting artist in a TV show at 107.

Jack turns 108 on April 6.
