Derbyshire Fire Service celebrates award for its work on employee wellbeing

At the end of a tough year for so many people in different walks of life, the award looked for an organisation that had implemented a strategy to support and improve the wellbeing of employees mental, financial and physical health, and that made a positive contribution to the overall employee experience offering.

Hide AdHelen Minion, the service’s strategic HR partner, explained: “It’s an honour to receive recognition for something that is so important to our service as we strive to put our employees wellbeing at the forefront of everything we do.
“Over the last year, as we have faced exceptional challenges brought about by the pandemic, our wellbeing strategy really has come into its own, providing the ongoing support it was developed for.”
Helen continued: “A huge amount of work goes into delivering a successful strategy, especially one that is recognised by peers from across the sector, so all of our HR and occupational health team should be justly proud to receive such recognition.”

Hide AdThe 138 award finalists attended a virtual event, which was hosted by Engage Awards and took place on Thursday, December 3.
There were 19 winners announced on the evening, across four categories.
These were: employee experience; customer experience; innovation, technology and integration; workforce and workplace transformation.
