The Lumsdale Valley is currently closed. Picture taken by Martin Smith before lockdown restrictions were introduced.

“This is due to recent unprecedented levels of visitor activity over the past weekend.

“The increased footfall to the site has raised safety concerns for visitors and residents.

“The natural limitations of the site have created issues with social distancing measures being followed and an increased risk of damage to the natural environment.

“Please help us take care of this special place by respecting this temporary restriction.

“Please do not travel to the site – parking and access will not be available.”
