Council to correct error on one of Chesterfield’s new digital road signs

Derbyshire County Council is to correct an error on one of its new digital road signs in Chesterfield.

On Saturday, a member of the public contacted the Derbyshire Times to point out the sign at Saltergate says ‘registry office’ when it should, in fact, be ‘register office’.

“Please inform the council,” the member of public told us.

We did – and a council spokesperson said the member of the public is indeed correct and the error will be corrected as soon as possible.
