Canines big and small are currently under the care of RSPCA Chesterfield and North Derbyshire. They include a couple of huskies, an Italian greyhound, four bulldogs and two Staffies.
Dogs make faithful companions and offer a great opportunity to improve your health by taking more exercise.
Lola is a female Staffy cross breed who is one year and four months old. She knows basic commands but is looking for an experienced owner who can teach her how to play and how to get on with other dogs. Lola would prefer an adult-only household where she is the only pet in the home. Photo: Chesterfield and North Derbyshire RSPCA
TIger is an eight-year-old male French bulldog. He was overweight when he arrived at the RSPCA shelter and will need the help of a new owner to shed the pounds. Given time, patience and love, Tiger will make a wonderful companion. Photo: Chesterfield and North Derbyshire RSPCA
Storm is a five-year-old female cross breed. She is personable, sweet and lovely - traits which belie the suffering that she experienced in her past life. Photo: Chesterfield and North Derbyshire RSPCA
Honey is a seven-year-old English bulldog who is generous with her affection and loves cuddles. She is almost house trained and can be left on her own for short periods. Honey could live in a household with children aged 11-15 years and maybe in a home with another dog and a cat. Photo: Chesterfield and North Derbyshire RSPCA
