Grassland Hasmoor - Big Local, run in conjunction with Rykneld Homes, Grassmoor, Hasland and Winsick Parish Council and Chesterfield Borough Council, has been organising activities for hundreds of youngsters at Eastwood Park, Hasland, and Barnes Park, Grassmoor.
Funding from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Government’s Holiday Activity Fund, through Rural Action Derbyshire, plus food from Fare Share has meant kids enjoyed a range of free activities.
Sessions have been provided by Samba Sports, with Joker Entertainment running circus skills workshops.

Junction Arts have offering craft sessions,; a climbing wall allowed youngsters to be brave and test their head for heights, while the White Post Petting Zoo allowed youngsters to get up and close to numerous creepy crawlies as well as more cuddly furry critters!
The whole project has been by volunteers from the Grassland Hasmoor - Big Local Youth and Children’s Support Group.
