Chesterfield primary school’s 200 mile challenge to raise money for NHS heroes

Staff at a Chesterfield primary school are re undertaking a marathon challenge - to run, walk or cycle 200 miles in just two weeks to raise money for NHS heroes.

Keen to do their bit to support NHS staff and volunteers caring for Covid-19 patients, Inkersall Primary Academy have launched the challenge ' Over 200 Reasons to support the NHS'.

Jo Mercer deputy headteacher said: “As a staff we recognise the amazing job that all the NHS staff at Chesterfield Royal Hospital are doing at this very difficult time.

“We wanted to show our support by raising money for the hospital, so we decided to undertake a challenge to complete between us all at least eight marathons.”

Staff can either walk, run or cycle a distance and have until half term (Friday May 21) to complete the challenge.

A Just Giving page set up by the school has already raised £1200.
