Chesterfield bankers raise more than £10,000 for hospice

Along with the help of customers, the team at TSB in Chesterfield and Bolsover have raised a total of £10,453.67 for charity partner Ashgate Hospicecare since the partnership began in 2014.

During the partnership, the local TSB branches organised numerous fundraising events such as cake sales, coffee mornings, a sponsored cycle, and even sponsored a partner to grow a beard.

The money raised was used to support schemes such as the current Ashgate Hospicecare campaign, Here for the Future, which aims to secure the future of the hospice, so it can continue to be there when it matters and offer those in their care the dignity and respect they deserve.

Joanne March, branch manager at Chesterfield TSB, said: “Our local charity partnership programme is all about working together to help support the local causes that are the lifeblood of many communities across Britain.

“It’s been fantastic to work with Ashgate Hospicecare, which is close to our hearts here in Chesterfield, and everyone working here has found our partnership really rewarding. I’d like to wish them the very best for the future.”

Paul Bradley, branch manager at Bolsover, said: “I would like to say a huge well done to every TSB partner, both past and present, from Bolsover and Chesterfield who worked towards raising this fantastic amount for such a worthy cause.

“Ashgate Hospicecare does amazing work within our local community and I am proud to say our bank has helped them along the way. I hope they can keep supporting local people long into the future and I wish them all the very best.”
