Jonno, who plays recurring character Tobias in the series, spent the whole of last summer filming Hunters in the ‘Big Apple’.

The 27-year-old said: “It’s amazing to be able to fly out to LA for the show’s premiere. I really can’t wait.

“Filming Hunters was a fantastic experience. I loved every moment of it and to be in the same production as Al Pacino, one of the greatest screen actors of all time, is a dream come true.”

New York has become a ‘second home’ for Jonno since starring in the off-Broadway production of A Clockwork Orange in 2017, but he spent his formative years living in Woodthorpe, near Staveley.

His theatre performance impressed the New York Times’ Michael Paulson enough to name Jonno as the only actor in a special feature titled ‘Tomorrow’s Marquee Names, Now In The Making’ about up-and-coming talent in the United States.

Although relatively unknown in his own country, Jonno has made appearances in several well-known TV shows in the UK, including Casualty, Hollyoaks, Doctors, Spotless and Silent Witness.

On stage, he played the title role in Dracula at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014 and made his West End stage debut in the Olivier award-nominated comedy Shakespeare In Love.

Jonno is a former student of Barlborough Hall School in north Derbyshire and later developed his acting skills at the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts, known to be the oldest drama school in the world.
