Members had organised a Ladies Who Lunch Day at Chesterfield Golf Club – with a fashion show by local independent ladies boutique Blanc, and style advice Creative Colour.

Because of Covid uncertainty, it was decided that the day was unlikely to go ahead in 2021 so everyone who had bought tickets was offered their money back.

Liz Day, event organiser, said: “We were delighted that a large number of people didn’t want a refund and were happy that their ticket money was donated to the charity.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you because despite the pandemic we have been able to contribute to the valuable work done by Julie Wheelhouse and her team at the stroke centre.”
