The illness causes a range of physical symptoms, learning difficulties and behavioural problems, including an excessive appetite which can later lead to weight gain.

"Jaxson has a rare genetic condition affecting one in 15,000 babies. It will affect his muscle tone, his talking, crawling and walking. He has to be fed through a tube now and as he grows older he may feel the need to over eat. Through the correct treatment and therapy it can be improved.
"The family have investigated an intenivee therapy centre in Texas, America, "the Napa Center" which costs £6,000 for three week treatment blocks.”

He added: “The family has a long road ahead, so as many donations as possible will make that road a little less bumpy.”
