Winter, named by staff at Happy Tails Rehoming in Old Whittington, after she managed to survive the recent snow and freezing conditions was rescued when her feral mother abandoned her.

Jenny Mark, from the centre on Broomhill Road said: “Winter is a very loving cat, and despite her initial lack of trust in humans, she has come on in leaps and bounds over her first few weeks with us.

"She loves to be stroked and tickled – especially under her chin and will do a funny little dance when she starts to purr!

“We think Winter is about eight to 10 months old, so she will easily adjust to a new life.”

Winter needs a home without dogs and someone who is prepared to brush her regularly.
