PCC deputy appointed
Last week PCC Alan Charles announced his intention to appoint the Derby city councillor to the role.
Following the unanimous recommendation by the panel, Mr Charles expressed his “delight” at having Labour’s Mr Dhindsa as his deputy.

Hide AdMr Charles, who is paid £75,000-a-year, said: “Hardyal Dhindsa’s work with Nottinghamshire Probation Trust, his excellent community links and the two years spent with the Crime and Drugs Partnership in Nottingham will be invaluable.”
Mr Dhindsa was selected from a shortlist of six “high calibre” candidates.
