LETTER: Filthy car park stairwells aren't inviting

Has the leader or any member of Chesterfield Borough Council visited their multi-storey car parks recently? I think not. The stairs in both of these car parks are a disgrace, filthy, strewn with rubbish and a very rancid smell of urine.'¨As we know first impressions are important, so what impressions are we giving visitors who use these car parks, not very good ones.'¨The council raises parking charges but, in my view, fails to maintain them with the revenues gained from them. I suggest Mr Burrows visits the car parks and cleans up his act, after, all it's his responsibility being leader of Chesterfield Bourough Council.
