North-East Derbyshire Labour Party is shocked to discover that the ex-MP is working for INEOS and wishes to distance itself from her actions.

Local people were dismayed to discover that Natascha Engel, the former Labour MP for North-East Derbyshire, has been commissioned by INEOS.

It appears that she will be writing an information booklet on shale exploration for the company.

Local people have expressed their opposition to fracking very strongly through protests, marches, regular meetings and social media.

The Labour Party fully supports the local people in their opposition to fracking.

The Labour Party nationally has a manifesto commitment to ban fracking.

The North-East Derbyshire constituency Labour Party has voted to support local people and oppose fracking.

North East Derbyshire District Council has voted to oppose fracking.

Eckington Labour Party has voted to oppose fracking.

Eckington Parish Council and other local councils have voted to oppose fracking.

We wish to reassure the people of Marsh Lane, Eckington, Dronfield and North East Derbyshire that we will continue to support their opposition to fracking.

We look forward to campaigning for cleaner, alternative energy.
We would like the Labour Party’s position to be made public in response to the position expressed by the former MP of North-East Derbyshire.
