Make 2021 the year that you expand your expertise, develop your career or retrain

This year we have all faced challenges we never thought possible, including huge changes in our working and personal lives. The new year brings opportunities to boost our recovery and support our future growth and prosperity.

Chesterfield College is at the heart of the community and is ready to advise and support both individuals and employers to move forward in 2021.

Whilst the college is well established and known for the range of options on offer for school leavers, adults make up around a fifth of our student population.

The college provides learning and development for people of all ages with programmes from entry to university level. Students come to us to expand their expertise, develop their career or retrain into a completely new area of work.

There has never been a more important time to equip people with the skills and knowledge required in a changing economic world. Skills and knowledge make us strong candidates for employers looking to recruit new staff. Learning is also good for our mental health and boosts our sense of purpose and fulfilment.

The college offers a warm welcome with a wealth of expertise and advice on hand to support with career choices and future plans and aspirations.

Courses run with start dates throughout the year. We are constantly reviewing our offer to ensure it meets with the needs of both our students and employers, both now and in the future. For example, from January onwards we will be offering: digital bootcamps to assist individuals and businesses to enhance their use of technology, new healthcare pathways for adults, higher level qualifications in business and marketing, and specific training in conjunction with employers to support those looking for work in securing new careers.
