New Peak District chief may earn bigger salary
Jim Dixon is to leave the top job at the authority after 11 years in the role.
The organisation is yet to appoint a successor but Peak Park chiefs will meet on Monday to review the salary and role description of the new chief executive before launching a recruitment drive.

Hide AdLesley Roberts, chair of the Peak District National Park Authority, said: “The current salary, terms and conditions and the job description for the chief executive have not been updated for several years.
“It is prudent that we review all these things before advertising the post.
“The salary may increase but I cannot confirm this until the authority has considered an independent report which has been commissioned.”
The authority confirmed Mr Dixon’s salary is £75,435.
Announcing his resignation last month, Mr Dixon said: “I have reached a point in my career where I wish to take up new opportunities and fresh challenges.”
