New buses kitted out for hi-tech passengers

Seven new buses have hit the road as part of a £700,000 investment by operator Stagecoach.'¨The single-deckers are operating between Chesterfield and Clay Cross on service 54, which is one of the most popular commuter routes.'¨The vehicles provide passengers with free on-board USB charging points for mobiles, tablets and laptops and free wi-fi.

Service 54 operates via Hasland, Grassmoor and North Wingfield.
Stagecoach in Chesterfield is part of Stagecoach Yorkshire, employing 1,177 staff and operating 419 buses, which carry 46.5 million passengers 19.2 million miles annually.
