Mr Potato Head in Belper vandalised again

The popular attraction, stands in the garden of the Belper Cottage Project on Chapel Street and has been decorated with tinsel in time for Christmas.

The structure is owned by Belper Town Council who had to pay out for repairs in September when he was damaged.

Leader of the council, John Nelson, said: “Somebody has pushed him and his arm has come off, it’s not a major job to repair.

“After Christmas he is going on holiday, maybe to Barbados, and will be fixed for the new year.”

The incident was not felt to be serious enough to be reported to the police.
