Mountain rescuers were called into action after a rambler fractured her wrist.

Twelve members of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team responded to a call-out on Saturday afternoon, following a report from the East Midlands Ambulance Service of an injured hill walker near to Lord’s Seat on Rushop Edge.

The casualty, a 56 year old lady from Glossop, was walking with a group when a simple trip resulted in a fractured wrist.
