Matlock robbery - woman arrested and man charged

A woman has been arrested and a man charged for an armed robbery at a bank in Matlock.

Andrew Hall, 33, of Lilybank Close, Matlock, appeared at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates Court on Saturday and was charged with robbery and possession of a firearm, he was remanded in prison custody and is due to appear at Derby Crown Court on Friday, March 13.

A 30-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and perverting the cause of justice. She was released on bail pending further enquiries.

The robbery happened at 2.30pm on Wednesday, February 18, at the Royal Bank of Scotland, in Snitterton Road, Matlock.
